Mike brings over 25 years of experience as a general contractor, specializing in high-quality residential renovations and construction for homeowners. Known for his attention to detail, commitment to doing things the right way, and disciplined project timelines, Mike approaches every project with a focus on safety, structural integrity, and craftsmanship that reflects the highest standards of the industry.
Over the 15 years, Mike has also applied his expertise to personally purchasing and renovating distressed properties, transforming them into beautifully restored homes. Rather than simply “flipping houses,” he completes full-scale renovations—ensuring each home is rebuilt with care, durability, and long-term value in mind.
His small business has grown and thrived over the past two decades almost entirely through word-of-mouth referrals—a testament to his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding results.
As a real estate broker, Mike offers a rare and valuable perspective. Having personally purchased, renovated, and sold more than 30 homes—taking on the financial risk himself—he understands every stage of the process from both a builder’s and investor’s standpoint. This hands-on experience gives him a distinct advantage in guiding clients through complex real estate decisions and maximizing their success.

REAL ESTATE
Real estate is our passion. It’s what we love. When you work with us, we work to tell the story of your home. We offer home auditing, home staging, professional photography, interior and exterior design advice, and digital and traditional marketing campaigns that will stand out to your target audience. And since I have a vast background as a general contractor, I can see things about a home that most people can’t - from structural to interior design. I am able to offer my wealth of construction knowledge to help potential buyers see themselves and their options in the space.
GENERAL CONTRACTING
I’m a licensed, bonded and insured general contractor. I’ve been in the business for 20 years and have done it all: roofing, siding, demo, paint, millwork, flooring…you name it. I can build a house from the ground up. When you hire me as a general contractor, I’m your “go-to” throughout the entire project, and I’m always on the jobsite to ensure you don’t have to fret. Not only do I have a loyal, exceptional team of sub-contractors, but I set the standard for cost control and, most importantly, I’m always in communication with you.
FIXER UPPERS
Over the course of 10 years, we’ve bought, remodeled and sold over 30 homes. Many people know this as “flipping houses.” We do not use that term because we believe in fully renovating each home, which means we do not skip steps or settle for mediocre work. And when you put months of hard labor and your very own money into a fixer upper, it truly makes you appreciate a hard day’s work AND the value of a dollar. We couldn’t be more proud to put our McRae Homes name on each and every one of our fixer uppers.
